Brittany Holiday July-Aug 2004

Crossing - Condor Ferries - Weymouth to St Malo with a 3 hour tour of Guernsey

The unexpected stop over in Guernsey for 3 hours between ferries meant a quick trip to a flower growers and a scramble on rocky beaches & enabled us to tour about half the island, before joining the queue for the ferry to St Malo.

1st night at Jugon Les Lacs (about 45 mins drive from St Malo) staying at the Au Bocage du Lac Campsite and having a meal in a local creperie

We then spent 5 nights at Raguenes Plage campsite on the Nevez peninsular which included access to the local beach and that at Rospico (which Jocelyn described as her best beach ever), as well as the usual paddling, sandcastle building etc. was the site for the first try out of a new power kite. In addition we explored the local countryside including a meal during the fish festival at the Auberge de L'Aven in the lovely village of Kerdruc and visiting a traditional Bretange parade/festival in Pont Aven
